Welcome to the online Town Clerk’s office. 

The Town Clerk has served as the official "Keeper of the Record" for the Town since the mid-1700s and continues to be the conduit between our residents and the Town Board.

The Clerk’s Office is the “entryway to local government” and is responsible for The Freedom of Information Law. I steadfastly believe that a free society is maintained when government is responsive and responsible to the public. The people’s right to know the process of governmental decision making and to view information leading to determinations is a basic tenant of our society.  I will do everything within the law to support the public’s right to know.

Our staff issues marriage licenses, hunting licenses, fishing licenses and dog licenses and various permits. Notary services are provided free of charge. The Town Clerk is also the registrar of Vital Statistics.

Marriages ceremonies are performed during regular office hours. Weekend services are by appointment only.

Harrison has the premier dog park in Westchester. Entry permits can be obtained at out office for a nominal fee. Please make sure your dog’s shots are up to date prior to coming in for your permit.

One of my goals is to make the Town Clerk's office accessible to all of our residents. Please visit our office, located on the first floor of Alfred P. Sulla Municipal Building, One Heineman Place. There you will find my courteous staff ready to assist you in obtaining the services that you require. If you have a medical problem or a special circumstance that makes it impossible to use our in house services please call my office so I can provide special assistance.

The Clerk's Office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday from Labor Day through Memorial Day and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM during the summer. In an effort to provide service to residents who are unable to come to the office during regular business hours the Clerk’s office will be opened from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM every fourth Tuesday.  The new hours will coincide with the scheduled Planning Board meetings thereby saving the cost of opening the building and eliminate the need for providing the required evening security.
